Dear Fabulous Yule Author,

Hi! Hello! Hey! I’m absolutely thrilled that you’ve matched to be my writer for my first ever Yuletide!! I’m super excited that I’ll get to read the wonderful content that you’re creating :D I’ve gushed a bit about each of my fandoms below and I’ve also got lists of the sorts of things I adore and the sorts of things that are hard NOs for me. Apart from the ‘do not wants’ - the rest of this can be taken more as idea fodder than as strict desires. If you get a wild hair that takes you in a completely different direction from anything I’ve listed - please go for it! One of the best things about Yuletide, imo, is the incredible creativity of the participants. Please feel free to colour outside the lines!!

Edge of Tomorrow: Rita Vrataski, Mimics

I love how fucking badass Rita is in this, how she’s always ready to roll with what needs doing whether she’s up to speed or not. I also love the mimic monsters. They’re these glorious tentacley aliens that just don’t give af about humans, with interesting magical powers, and they’ve got alphas and omegas built into their lexicon. I feel like there’s a massive missed opportunity for subversion of the traditional omegaverse stuff here. I’d love to see something that plays with that idea!

Prompt Ideas:

1) Rita & the Alpha she killed - instead of killing it, they banged and that’s how she got her timey wimey powers

2) How does earth a/b/o society deal with an invasion by a society where the top of the hierarchy is the omega?

Practical Magic: Bridget “Jet” Owens, Frances Owens

I love the way that sisterhood is expressed in this movie, in all three generations, and I’m FASCINATED by the aunts. It seems like there are two sisters born to each generation and yet here we have two sisters that are not grandmother/great aunt to Sally & Gillian. They also have such a great attitude toward life and sex and magic and I want any and all stories about who they are and how they came to be. I’m not opposed to romance here - I just would prefer any romance not pull focus from the sisterhood piece.

Prompt Ideas:

1) How did they become the caretakers of the family?

2) What are their power specialities and how did they come to discover them?

Psy-Changeling Series - Nalini Singh: Naia | Windhaven Healer, Amara Aleine, Miane Lévesque, Silver Mercant

We FINALLY got a sideways mention of queer people existing in this world with Silver’s gay brother and it’s just not enough for me. There are so many rocking women in this series and I bet they’d be explosive if they paired up. This is a soulmate style world and I’d love for there to be femslash mating bonds if you opt to include a changeling. I do prefer psy and changeling pairings because I feel like there’s so much to navigate there, especially with Silence and the politics around it. I’m guessing this won’t get matched because of the character subset I’ve chosen but I remain hopeful!

A quick note on Naia - she’s the healer for the Windhaven Falcon pack (she appears for a couple brief cameos in Branded by Fire) and we know almost nothing about her so there’s a lot of opportunity to do whatever you like!

Prompt Ideas:

1) Naia/Amara Aleine - how might Naia’s Healer powers/energy interact with Amara’s unstable mind and sociopathic tendencies?

2) Miane Lévesque/Silver Mercant - I was super disappointed in Silver’s book so let’s pretend that never happened and instead Silver has to liaise with BlackSea for some reason and she and Miane turn out to be mates. Miane is such a woman of mystery - I want to know more!

Score: A Hockey Musical: Moose, Farley

Wow, this movie. Where to begin? Here's a promo post a friend wrote to get you started. It’s 90 minutes of bad rhymes, haphazard rhythm, and misogyny … and yet it’s endearing and strangely appealing. The cast is so earnest and they’re singing and dancing their hearts out, even if some of them really ought not. There’s also OODLES of homoerotic subtext. If you haven’t seen it - it’s a wild ride and I strongly recommend you imbibe your mind-altering substance of choice prior to making the attempt (it’s also better with friends). My favourite character in this is Moose, the enormous enforcer for the Brampton Blades and I am hoping for fic featuring him.

Prompt Ideas:

1) Moose teaching wide-eyed pacifist rookie Farley just how much fun getting rough can be.

2) Farley is your quintessential mouthy, bratty bottom and Moose takes him in hand (or just takes him and takes him).

Sins of the Cities Series - KJ Charles: Justin

I adore Justin. I like his dynamic with Nathaniel, I like how he pushes back on Nathaniel’s privilege, I like how he’s so prickly and so vulnerable, and I like how he takes such careful care of those in his charge. He's awesome.

Prompt Ideas:

1) This is the one exception to my DNW for parent or kid fics as I’d love to see him with Emma and Sukey and trying to parent without showing how much he cares (though they see right through his facade)

2) Crossover fic with Silas or Cyprian from Society of Gentleman (you’d have to handwave the timeline or bring some kind of magical elements in, either is fine). Justin paired with either of those two would burn the establishment down and I’d LOVE to see that AU.
